If you were wondering why my Profile Picks read like a cross between Skymall and a skin mag’s table of contents, that would be why.
So, more about that.
Welcome to Jacqueline Beaumont Island.
Jacqueline Beaumont locations show up occasionally in the Earn2Life Pay4Picks program, offering about L$45 for you to add them to your picks for 90 days or so. Often they show up twice at a time, so you actually get L$90. So you add them. And then you wonder what made you think that running around with “PEN*S P*ssy Ass Nippel Feet Sex Adult Sexgen” in your picks for the next 3 months could possibly be worth it.
I mean, look, they misspelled nipple!; How embarrassing is that?
On the other hand, if you’re looking to alter your avatar in realistic ways, or just to outfit yourself in something more stylish (and sexy), you’ve come to the right place.
They sell: skins & shapes, 3D eyes, realistic genitalia, leather & fetish wear, seasonal styles, evening gowns, medieval wear, wedding wear, shoes, purses, and sex beds. Additionally, there are tools such as “The 4D Emoter,” “The 4D Bodylight,” and “The 4D Glasses.” I’m not entirely sure what 4D is in this context, but a free demo is offered (look for the box on the floor under the posters) so I guess one can find out pretty easily. Additionally, other vendors have rented areas to show their own wears. The custom jewelry of “Sacred Yoni!” is especially worth perusing; if I ever make over my avatar for a pole-dancing job or suchlike, I’m totally buying some of those pearl nipple bangles.
On that note, it would appear that Jacqueline Beaumont hires live models. The job involves standing on a pedestal wearing JB fashions and, well, not going AFK. I think.
Second Life malls are a dime a dozen; it’s nice to find one that isn’t a maze of boring rental boxes all alike. Jacqueline Beaumont Island is decorated in Roman temple style, with columns and torches and fountains and statues of women who just happen to be naked. (A black jaguar is parked on the flagstones. It doesn’t exactly match the theme, but it makes a usefully recognizable landmark.) There’s a lovely little courtyard outlined in shaped topiary and populated with weeping willow trees. As the willows give way to palms, you find the beach (remember, it’s an island) where a gangway lets onto a ported Spanish galleon. And of course there’s a tiki bar. What’s a beach without a tiki bar?
There’s more, but rather than catalogue every object for you (heck, Second Life’s search engine can do that), I’ll just encourage you to head on over and start exploring.
And as for those risque picks, I’ve resigned myself to the questionable content. In addition to the Earn2Life Pay4Visit one-time payment, there are at least 5 different PPRS (Profile Pick Reward System) boards that you can click once a day for L$10 each time. I’m cool with that.
