Inspired by Artisfacta

After teleporting to several destinations and getting the infamous “This Region No Longer Exists” message, I became concerned that  good quality ballrooms in Second Life™ had gone the way of our beloved “Ruth”.   I went on a determined  hunt to find an inspiring romantic place to dance.   I stumbled across Artisfacta Club and Events.

This artful build features a number of dance venues and romantic vignettes dispersed throughout the sim.  Enjoy the hip night club atmosphere at “B Club” where live DJ’s spin a variety of House, Electro, Techno and Trance. The “B Club” has a certain Las Vegas feel to it and is built down by the water with alabaster sculptures emerging from the surrounding water features.  It is quite breathtaking.

The sim features rambling pathways and cozy nooks and crannies for private dances and romantic moments.  There are no shortage of quality but tasteful animations and the entire build has a very unique and creative aesthetic.   The “Final Fantasy” section features some incredible sculpture and scenery and it is an ideal place for in-world photography and machinima.  Playing with windlight settings I was able to get some incredible shots and found myself utterly inspired by the build.

The site also features some peaceful meditation locations that I highly recommend.  The aesthetic design of the place is a great achievement and a credit to the talents of Second Life™ resident, architect and animation scripter Sissy Bonne. The talented Ms. Bonne is also a DJ.  Click here to preview some of her tracks on SoundCloud.  Sissy has been a resident of Second Life since 2007 and has done an professional job of tucking in some retail stores (showcasing more of her talented creations) into the landscape without taking away from the overall experience of the venue.
