On March 04, 2010 at 12:00 SLT the live lecture and feedback session lead by Fanny Starr, Holocaust Survivor returns to Second Life™. The event will be moderated by her daughter Helen Starr (avatar Explorer Dastardly) for open-ended question and answer period on the Holocaust and commentary on the current socio-political environment and anti-semitic sentiment.
Rabbi Franklin (BMH-BJ Congregation), and other observers have been invited to login from a remote location, including Deborah Horning (Stacy Silverblade), and her Social Anthropology class.
March 2010 marks the third year that Fanny Starr has returned to the virtual world of Second Life™ to present her personal account of internment and her inspiring story of strength and human survival. Her frank presentation reflects upon the climate of fear confusion, and religious persecution. The incredible loss she experienced is miraculously coupled with a great appreciation for life and a love and tolerance for all races and religions.
At 87 years of age, Fanny is an incredible humanitarian and passionate speaker who shows no signs of slowing down. Her personal recollections are well documented but it is a rare priviledge to speak with a Holocaust Survivor and hear the events unfold and shared altruistically for the benefit of educating future generations, particularly on the inherent dangers of political complacency.
Fanny Starr will be interviewed by Pooky Amsterdam of Pooky Media and inworld machinima will be produced by Rosco Teardrop (Russell Boyd).
The live lecture and discussion session will be hosted on Roadrunner Island. Click here to teleport.
