This is an advanced camera that is capable of ‘reading’ full body movements and can interpret vocal commands. Microsoft sees this as a new peripheral, that will radically change the way that people interact with games and electronics. In fact it will revolutionize our relationship with electronics. Kinetic will not be confined to the gaming arena, it will be utilized to manipulate the XBOX 360 dashboard, the latter will be updated in tandem with Kinect when it launches in November and with other applications such as Netflix.

Watching the brief extract on YouTube hosted by Sway Calloway and Jennette Curdy it was luxurious event and eagerly awaited by both celebrities and commoners alike. Words such as “amazing”, “incredible”, “groundbreaking” fell from the lips of the famous and the not so famous.

Aisha Tyler – actress/comedian said:

Extraordinary, to see all the things that you can do with this system,
and how liberating it can be

Stacey Kiebler – actress/model

Everyone’s having so much fun…
Bye bye Wii

This is an intuitive system where you, your body, your movements control the game. It is a truly amazing site to behold, have Microsoft done it again? The initial reaction would seem to be affirmative on that point, but only time and sales will tell.
