Apple, apple, who’s got the apple…

I only knew about it because Amber Lights Village was an Earn2Life Pay4Visit spot recently. (And what with recent changes to the Pay4Visit program, that’s miraculous enough, lemme tellya. But more about that another day.) And that’s one of the sims where the Hunts are being held. (The other is the Flying Hawk Ranch in Aspen Ski Resort.) I TP’d in, and there was the sign with the Apple Hunt Rules and the oversized green apple with the group invite. It sounded like fun, so I joined.

The group’s name is properly spelled *~*The Apple Hunt Group*~* but you’ll have an easier time just typing the words into the search bar and clicking the Groups tab. Join it to partake in the Apple Hunts when they come around. Isabella Towton will send a group notice and landmark in plenty enough time for you to mark the next one on your calendar.

Once you get there and the Hunt starts, things are very simple. Little green apples are everywhere, about the size of your avatar’s foot. You see one, you click on it, you get rewarded with a little cash. Amounts vary from L$1 to L$10 with probability inversely proportional to value. Some are sitting around in plain sight, while others take a little hunting to find (on windowsills two stories up, behind merchandise in rental shops, et cetera). When they’re all gone, an announcement will be made to that effect.

It’s not a lot of $L to be made, but it’s fun, it’s social, and it’s free. Enjoy!

[...] Amber Lights Village has closed down, “due to a slow summer”. The Apple Hunt Group was likewise deleted. No more apple hunts! Sorry, folks. However, the group owner hopes to purchase a new mall this winter, at which point she’ll start up the group again. So keep your eyes open and make regular use of your Search bar. [...]
