The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2011 is underway and already some big announcements have been made. Microsoft announced today that Minecraft, the popular indie game by Mojang (http://mojang.com/) will be coming exclusively to the XBox 360 Console and will offer Kinect controller-less gaming support. Minecraft, which is still in beta, has sold over 2 million copies and is set for an official release on November 11th, 2011.
According to Minecraft’s creator, Notch, a new team will be working on the XBox version, and that development of the PC version will not be effected by this announcement.
This comes on the heels of news that a mobile version of the game will be coming to Apple and Android devices.
Minecraft can be played free in a web browser, or can be purchased for €14.95 while the beta is in progress. The official release will increase the price of the game to €20.00.
