Those waiting with bated breath for the mobile version of the addictive computer game Minecraft, which was slated to release for the Android phone today (September 29th), may have to wait a little longer. Announced on the Minecraft Facebook Page:

“Yikes!! We found a nasty bug in Minecraft – Pocket Edition that needs to be fixed before release! Im not sure it will come out today :(

So far they haven’t ruled out being able to fix the bug before the day is through for release, but if it is indeed nasty, the release could be postponed a few more days.

Creator of Minecraft, Markus “Notch” Persson, is not actively working on this version of the game, which may explain why the usual chatty Notch has been silent about the release delay on Twitter. Block breaking fanatics will have to stay tune on this one.

Minecraft is slated for release on the IOS platform later this year, but no release date has been named as of yet.
