MineCon 2011, the official sold-out launch celebration conference for Minecraft kicks off today from Las Vegas, and they are already making waves. In a surprising turn of events, Mojang has announced the release of Minecraft to the IOS App Store today to coincide with the weekend long event.
This news will come as a treat to all Minecraft fans who have devices running Apple’s IOS. The mobile version for Android devices was released in mid October, and no time table or release date was given for the IOS version previously. Minecraft can be purchased for $6.99 US, and the Android and IOS version of Minecraft will be cross platform compatible.
