It isn’t often that you come across one venue that has three entertainment formats. But that’s what you’ll find with Marina Bay: an elegant ballroom, a guitar stage, and Hall of Fame on InWorldz.

Before the tour of these venues began, Pattie Andel, the manager of Marina Bay and owner of the Music Hall of Fame, invites me for a chat inside her and Saxophonist Declan G’s home. We sat at the island in her kitchen.

Pattie is the event planner of Marina Bay, which is a year old.  DJ Tommy Seetan, “who plays everything but Rap,” as well as four other DJs and live artists entertain guests.

Asked what a typical schedule is like for Marina Bay, Pattie replied that performances are on Mondays at 1 p.m. InW; Wednesdays 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. InW and 4PM until 6 p.m. InW and the same for Saturdays.

“Our plan has always been day and evening times to accommodate both our European artists and DJs and our American and Canadian artists and friends,” said Pattie. “So we book every other week so we can have more artists and DJs. Right now we have about 14 artists.”

The stages include: one that’s guitar shaped and a formal Ballroom for Jazz and Blues. Where I have seen a venue in the shape of a piano, I have never seen a guitar stage. The brilliant colors demand your attention. I love the idea and originality.

I’m told there are over 408 people in Marina Bay’s group, which is pretty significant considering that there are 5,000+ members.

A swift teleportation sends us to the Piano Bar Ballroom. The venue is a skybox and requires formal clothing. Jazz and Blues are played frequently compliments of MrMikie String, Ronus Levefre, Wytche, Prowess Rayna, Chance Paneer and Declan G. You’ll be entertained on Wednesday mornings and then from 4 or 5 to 8 p.m. This is an InWorldz favorite venue for couples.

Onward we go to the Hall of Fame.

“It was one of my dreams to have it here in InWorldz in a bit different format as you may know it in Second Life,” said Pattie. “A few months ago, I presented Tommy (Seetan,  the owner of Marina Bay) with this idea. If you walk outside, you can see the guitar stage and piano above it and another building across the way. We’ll vote for our favorite artists or DJ on a two month’s basis. We’ll let people choose who they like the most. One vote per person and then we’ll have a Hall of Fame award.”

Emilie Seda, a well-known builder on InWorldz, designed the Hall of Fame trophy. Winners are posted on the walls of the build and parties are held to support them. Emilie was also responsible for making the Hall of Fame build. Like everything she does, the detail is remarkable and life-like.

As for the owner of Marina Bay, Pattie says he is a visionary. If she has an idea, he will help set it in motion. Lola Lucern is the host manager and Cavell Greybeard is the hostess.
