Time Magazine reports,  Microsoft Girds for Battle Over Motion Control By Jared Newman, that the potential for motion control to come to your PC is becoming a very real possibility.

“In a video, Microsoft demonstrates hand and finger tracking with current Kinect hardware, going beyond the basic skeletal tracking that’s available today. That could open up new uses, such as the ability to simulate a mouse click or button push with only a hand gesture. The Verge also reports that Microsoft is working on displays with Kinect built right in, possibly allowing users to control Windows PCs with the wave of a hand.”

A few days ago some folks were having a discussion about what people in SL do and the inference was that LLab needed something to make it better so it could provide the next technological or otherwise  improvement to Second Life that would encourage people to either re-visit or entice new people to join.  This would be something that could do that.
