Don’t Give Up Your SL Home…….
“Some people think because i work for AVN and go to Opensim grids I have abandoned Secondlife. This is not true. Here is a pic of my parcel on Secondlife. As most of you know I like building cities so its… you guessed it, a city!”
“Very nice Yoshiko!
I have sims in SL too. I have lots of role play friends there and it pays to keep the sims for now anyway because it give the players information and news about the free Metaverse and my RPG regions in OSgrid and my standalone. This results in some fun cross-grid role play. Grid owners hoping to develop their Opensim world should consider doing similar. I know some do anyway and some even make it possible to exchange Linden dollars for their local currency.
Which ever way you look at it there are good reasons to maintain links with Second Life.
Shame Second Life costs so much.”
What do you think?
Are we coasting to towards a cliff? Will SL, become an empty , abandoned VW someday and fall over the edge? No. While it is likely SL will continue to see it’s metrics diminish as other worlds grow, the curves will flatten and Second Life will still be the premium virtual world.
