Easy Rock Artist-In-Residence Program proudly presents:

Gallery Reception for Janine Portal

Sunday, June 2nd, 4:00 p.m. SLT

Orion and Lisa Deezul, creators of the innovative brands Easy Rock Music and Swerve are proud to announce a special gallery reception featuring Easy Rock’s first Artist-in-Residence, Janine Portal.  Join us Sunday, June 2nd at 4:00 p.m. SLT, in Gallery 3, located in the Easy Rock Mall, for the gallery opening and celebration of Janine Portal:  A Year in Pixels.

Janine started exhibiting her original works of art in Second Life just over a year ago.  For this exhibit, Janine has brought back some of her favorite work, as well as some new pieces that are truly amazing and inspiring.  Janine is one of the first three featured Artists in the Easy Rock Artist-in-Residence program founded by Orion and Lisa Deezul.

Orion and Lisa enjoy collaborating with creative individuals and they have spent countless hours enjoying many art exhibits around the grid.  They founded the Artist-in-Residence program to help artists gain more attention and recognition for their work in Second Life.

The Easy Rock Artist-in-Residence program solicits original artists in Second Life to apply for gallery space in Easy Rock.  Once selected, artists are provided with their own gallery space, free of charge, that they can use and design as they wish, for the purpose of exhibiting their creations.  The artists may also offer their work for sale and 100% of the proceeds go directly to the artist.

“We really just have a love of art and there are so many wonderful artists in Second Life.  We wanted to be able to provide a platform where these great artists can showcase their work and be seen by as many people as possible,” explains Easy Rock owner, Orion Deezul.

Janine Portal was invited to be one of the first Easy Rock Artist-in-Residence.  Orion originally discovered Janine’s talent when he bought one of Janine’s pieces as a birthday gift for Lisa.   They have since added several more of Janine’s works to their personal collection.

Easy Rock Mall is anchored by the Easy Rock Guitars & Music flagship store and Swerve scooters.  There are close to 20 different stores in Easy Rock Mall offering clothing, avatars, skins, hair, shoes, and crazy cool scooters!  Everything an avatar needs for a Rock-n-Roll lifestyle.  Plus, there are three Gallery spaces devoted to the Easy Rock Artist-in-Residence program.

If you are an artist or know of an artist who would like to apply to be an Easy Rock Artist-in-Residence, then simply apply by contacting Orion Deezul or Lisa Deezul in Second Life or sending an email to EasyRockMusic@gmail.com.
