This year I have been sifting through my inventory, searching for something a little special. I have grown bored of the same old outfits in my virtual closet, and would seriously love a change. So what’s a girl to do when she wants a new outfit? Well for me, a situation like this is a perfect excuse for a trip to my capital city. Since I’m located in England, my destination, naturally, is London City, where some of the best and most fashionable stores can be found, as well as a great mix of very happening bars, clubs and cityscapes.
I arrived just outside a freebie store, and although I didn’t take time to shop around, I did think it was a brilliant idea to set up this great place for new people to visit. Just from a moment of window-shopping, it was clear to me that they catered to a lot of different tastes for men and women alike. Also, aside from the fashions, there were some gadgets, a mixture of AO’s, etc.
The London Dungeon have been recreated here, and I could not resist the urge to look around inside. I have not personally been to the London Dungeon in RL, but I’m sure it is a faithful recreation of the actual ones in London — good for some exciting and scary experiences! After surviving that escapade, visitors can stop by the cafe for refreshments and a pleasant chat.
London City isn’t just one sim, it’s four! The best of all worlds — shopping, clubbing, seaside and sights to see. In Regent’s Park you can find any help you could want from a member of staff that is located here. There are usually many people in this area just to meet up and have a chat. There is also usually a DJ spending some awesome tunes, and a host that will help you in any way they can.
Beyond an idle shopping excursion, there’s so much more to do in London. It’s a great place to take a romantic stroll along the pier with a loved one, rent a row boat and coast along the shoreline on a lazy day. The various sims offer clubs and pubs, gay bars, even a strip club in the adult sim for those feeling adventurous.
Guests wishing to enjoy some virtual tourism will find popular London landmarks, such as Big Ben, Nelson’s Column, the Cenotaph, and even Cleopatra’s Needle! There’s a structure there, too, that looks like the Houses of Parliament, but shoppers will be pleased to find a marvelous collection of exceptional quality retailers.
I must have explored the sims for several hours before I actually did any shopping and spent some Lindens on a few new outfits. Then I went back to sightseeing. I so enjoyed my time at London that I lost track of time — just drinking in the atmosphere.
